“My paintings and collage are representation of the curves and faces of women, be they static or in motion. My sole goal is to immortalise beauty of the women: hence why I only create women figures.
I draw a lot of inspiration from women I see in my everyday life. Even though they are all different, I find that there’s none of them that’s either impressive or attractive, in her very own way. I am very attentive to faces in my everyday life, and especially women’s faces.
In my collages, I most of the time represent the face of a women I saw in the news. Often, I use the very publication in which I saw the face to create my collage. It’s as if, in a way, the sole goal, the destiny of that object, that assembly of paper, was only to bring to me the face I wish to immortalize.”
